Transmission Builder

This part of the program has preconfigured transmission files for stock VW car and bus transmissions as well as custom configurations for both.  We have also included both types of GM Power Glides, and the GM Turbo 350, Turbo 400, Turbo 700R-4, the Muncie M20, M21, M22, the Borg-Warner T10-A, T10-B, T10-C, T10-D and T56-A and T56-B, the Richmond 4 Speed and two Richmond 6 Speeds. If one of the preconfigured transmissions does not suit your needs, you can build and save your own configurations without any limit (except the size of your storage device).
 

• See what really happens to your engines RPM and your car's speed when you change any of your transmission gear ratios, the ring and pinion ratio, or your tire size (height).
• Know how much of a change in ratio is needed between each and every gear to keep your engine operating within it's power band.
• Know what ring and pinion ratio to use for the perfect match to your transmission gears. Know what the exact RPM drop will be each time you shift into the next gear.
• Know what RPM your engine will be turning at any speed, in any gear.
